We have a product based around the Colibri IMX8x and are required to do some WiFi certification testing. This page (Azurewave AW-CM276NF Wi-Fi & Bluetooth module | Toradex Developer Center) says I need an NDA to get the required bit bake layer and software to perform this testing.
How can I start this process?

You are correct.
We have a yocto layer that builds the proprietary drives from NXP and is capable of generating the tool for manufacturing mode that is required . We can provide the tool + driver /firmware under NDA.
