Add device tree branch to release matrix

Here I can see the Embedded Linux Release Matrix for the several BSP and Torizon releases.
This is useful because it helps the customization process.
I suggest adding another info, that is the branch of device-tree repo to be used for the several releases.
I ask this because the istructions here refer to a specific branch, but this is the right one for a specific Torizon release (the last one, typically).
But maybe I work on a different (older) Torizon release.

Hello,

Thank you for your insightful suggestion regarding the inclusion of device-tree branch information in the Embedded Linux Release Matrix for Torizon releases. This addition could indeed simplify the customization process for users working with various or older Torizon releases.

Currently, to find the appropriate device-tree branch for a specific Torizon release, users typically refer to the documentation or utilize the TorizonCore Builder tool. This tool helps in cloning the correct branch by aligning it with the version of the TorizonCore image you are using.

Your feedback highlights a valuable opportunity to enhance the documentation, potentially making it easier for users to configure their systems without needing to manually search for branch information.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.

Hello @vix,

Thanks for the suggestion.
I think that putting the branch of the device tree overlays repository would be out of scope for the Embedded Linux Release Matrix.
The reason for that is we do not put branches on this table as it only contains the versions of the major components of that BSP.
In the case of the device tree overlays repository, the branch name is the same as the Linux kernel branch name.

The reason for this is that the default documentation will always be for the latest version of Torizon OS/BSP.
To view the documentation for an older version, you can hover over the drop-down menu on the top-right and select the version you are working with:

There you will find the correct instructions for Torizon OS 6, for example: Device Tree Overlays on Torizon | Toradex Developer Center
