I’ve installed the SDK for CE8/WEC2013 (v2.2) and App Builder for Visual Studio 2013 (Pro) and I’m trying to create a new XAML application (C++) but VS2013 fails at creating the new XAML project.
I’ve tried v2.1 and v2.0 of the SDK also.
There were a couple other similar questions here but none of them got resolved.
Unfortunately using XAML in VS2013 nor VS2015 seems to be possible without Platformbuilder installed. Currently this is a limitation of Visual Studio. You find a getting started documentation at MSDN.
We invested quite some time to find a way around that but it seems on VS2013 and VS2015 some tools are missing in order to even create a new project.
