I have x11 distro , and I use gstreamer for displaying on the hdmi output, but it is not displayed correctly for some reason.
We suspect that x11 display/terminal competes with gstreamer.
Does it make sense ?

What exact hardware/software versions of things are you talking about?
In gstreamer what actually renders to the screen is called a video sink and one would have to find out what exact sink is causing problems and whether or not a different configuration thereof or even an alternate one (e.g. OpenGL or overlay based) might give better results. Please also find some tested configurations for video encoding and playback described in the following article on our developer website.
