WMDC (windows 10) does not connect to the Colibri VF61 with WinCE 7.0

Hello,

I want to connect the Colibri VF61 device to my PC but the WMDC does not connect to the device.
Any suggestions?

  • Which BSP version you are using?
  • How exactly you are trying to connect it to Win 10?
  • What you are expecting and what is getting while trying to connect?
  • Did you try to disable firewall on Win 10?

Technically we don’t use BSP. We directly use the OS image in the version iMX7 WinCE7 Image (1.2 | 2019-03-18 | 35.51 MB) which is mentioned here: https://developer.toradex.com/software/windows-embedded-compact/imx7-wec-software

2- How exactly you are trying to connect it to Win 10? - What you are expecting and what is getting while trying to connect? -

We expect the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) to establish a connection so we can use the remote software for example. We use the debug USB interface of the Colibri VF61.

And we don’t use the iMX7 WEC. We use Vybrid WinCE Image (1.6 | 2019-04-08 | 40.92 MB) which is mentioned here : https://developer.toradex.com/software/windows-embedded-compact/vf50-vf61-wec-software.

To connect to WMDC to the Colibri VF61, several steps are done and knowing that our Plattform is (Windows 10 1903) and the target system is Colibri VF61 with Windows Embedded Compact 7.0 (CE7) OS Image 1.6 :

  • we enabled the service isolation and we changed the user of the service ( WcesComm, RapiMgr)

Always we get not Connected message for WMDC.

In fact, it’s impossible to connect the WMDC to the device in the RDP session
