Visual Studio Code remove device

This should be easy and shouldn’t be a device or OS specific question.
device-into-vs-code

When you right click on a device entry you get a one option menu for properties. That’s fine.

Up on the Devices bar/drop down there is a “+” to add a device. That’s fine.

How do you delete/remove a device? I should be able to do this and it should be obvious. It’s completely possible that I’m just blind too. I expected to see either a “-” next to the “+” or a “Remove Device” option on the right click menu. Selecting the device and hitting the delete key doesn’t work either.

This has got to be possible. One shouldn’t have to wait for half a dozen or more devices they are no longer working with to time-out before they can actually do something.

I’m under Linux and in a VM, but that can’t really make a difference. This is a plug-in question. The option is either hidden or missing.

Thanks,
Roland

Greetings @seasoned_geek,

The “x” icon next to the specific device entry should remove the device from the list. Is this not working in your case?

It didn’t when I tried it. I will be back to that machine in a bit where I can try it again. As I remember all the x did was close the drop down.

Do let me know. For if it doesn’t work, then that is definitely an issue/bug.

Jeremias

Sorry,

I’ve been tied up with other things all day. Will check first thing in the morning if not very late tonight.

Today it worked. I guess we chalk it up to user error? I have rebooted the VM since then so their might have been some update that needed to apply or something, but it worked just a few minutes ago.

Whatever the case, thank you for getting back to us and confirming. Glad everything works as expected.

Jeremias
