U-Boot version in splash image

Dear Support,

I have successfully updated the U-Boot splash screen and disabled all the output on console, but the U-Boot version is still printed (it’s printed before the U-Boot output).

How can I disable this line being printed?

Thanks in advance

I’m not sure what exactly you mean by “printed” resp. where that is. Are you talking about the serial debug console or any graphical display and if so what kind?

By “printed” I mean text output on the serial console.

I have disabled the console on my lcd display (console is tty1 I believe), but it still shows the “U-Boot 2016.11-2.7.2+g60021a4 (Aug 14 2017 - 10:13:21 +0200)” output.

Judging from the date you are running a custom compiled U-Boot, correct?

Did you ever try this with our latest stock BSP demo image (2.7b3 at the time of this writing)?

You may have missed the part about the SPL here or here.

Also what the SPL outputs got improved here.

Yes, I am building my image with Yocto.

I found a easy workaround for now, but I will look into the 2.7b3 version soon.

I shall read the information about SPL.

Thanks for your help

You are very welcome.
