TPM on Verdin iMX8MP

In your Verdin iMX8M Plus V1.1 datasheet I can read: “The Verdin iMX8M Plus can be assembled with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM 2.0), the ST33GTPMII2C from STMicroelectronics”

We are looking for a place to store secret keys on the Verdin module. In an older project we had a AT88SC3216C secure memory device on our custom board.

How to proceed to have the TPM assembled? Is there any info about device tree (Linux/YOCTO) to integrate the TPM? Are there other possibilites to store secret keys?

Hi @zorro,

If I see this right we reached out to you about some details of this request is that right?

Best Regards
Kevin

We also also want to use a Trusted Platform Module (TPM 2.0) in our application.
Do I understand it correctly that the “Verdin iMX8M Plus Quad 4GB WB IT” (PN: 0058) does NOT provide a TPM module? So we have to implement a TPM module on our baseboard when using this SoM?

Hello Mr. Telgmann,

The Verdin iMX8MP module does not provide a TPM. This could be a special assembly option, however not in the current revisions of the respective module. I cannot promise a timeframe for this assembly option at the moment.

What we recommend is to have the TPM on the carrier board. We have TPM on our Mallow and Ivy carrier boards and we also have design guides for these carrier boards that will be useful for you in case you are designing your own board:

I hope this helps.
