Torizon debian containers and shutdown command

Good Morning,
I’m playing around with Debian containers on Torizon on an imx7d with IRIS carrier, to develop my own application container.
Sadly, I noticed that commands shutdown and, in general, systemctl are not available.
Notice that I’m using my container in privileged mode, for several good reasons.

Is there a (more or less) “clean” way to obtain reboot/shutdown behaviors, but being these command issued from inside the running container?

Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,

Flavio

Hi @flavio.f ,

Someone here at the community previously asked a similar question: Dbus permission in a torizon container - #4 by gipo, and their solution seems more or less clean. Can you take a look there and see if it works for you?

Best regards,

Many thanks, that thread is concise and meaningful.
I’m now succesfully experimenting with that.

Hi @flavio.f ,

Did the answer from @lucas_a.tx solve your initial question? If yes, could you please mark it as the solution?

Thank you all for the support,
I’ll be back (hopefully not) soon!
