Toradex git issues

Hello,
since yesterday (2021-09-03) I can not clone / pull the Toradex kernel anymore. This happens with bitbake and on the command line. I observed the problem with git versions 2.17.1 and 2.25 on different (Ubuntu) machines.
Git either crashes (segfault) or leaves an empty directory after about 13 minutes of trying:

$ git clone https://git.toradex.com/linux-toradex.git
Cloning into 'linux-toradex'...
Checking connectivity: 8791628, done.
warning: remote HEAD refers to nonexistent ref, unable to checkout.

Other repositories work fine, just the Toradex kernel git does not work for me.

Same symptoms here.
Yesterday our builds were failing due to this but it went back to normal during the night (>23:00h CET) and we are now experiencing the same issue again.
