Hello,

The error you’re encountering indicates that the device is able to reach the Toradex Easy Installer image server but is being denied access, possibly due to network policies or web filtering settings in your network environment. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

  1. Check Network Configuration: Ensure that the DHCP server provides not only an IP address but also a correct DNS server and gateway configuration. This is crucial for the device to access the internet and reach Toradex servers.

  2. Inspect Firewall and Web Filter Settings: If your network uses a firewall or web filtering, it might be blocking access to the Toradex image server. Verify that http://tezi.toradex.com is allowed through any firewall or web filtering services.

  3. Proxy Configuration: If your network requires a proxy to access the internet, you will need to configure the proxy settings for the Toradex Easy Installer. This can be done by setting the appropriate environment variables (http_proxy, https_proxy) in the U-Boot environment or within the Linux system, depending on where the proxy configuration is needed.

  4. Manual Download: As a workaround, you can manually download the desired image from the Toradex Easy Installer downloads page and then use a USB drive or an SD card to load the image onto the device. This method bypasses the need for an internet connection from the device to download the image list.

  5. Network Tools: Utilize network diagnostic tools to troubleshoot connectivity issues. Tools like ping, traceroute, or curl can help diagnose where the connection might be failing.

  6. Contact Network Administrator: If the issue persists, it may be beneficial to consult with your network administrator. They might have insights into network policies that could be affecting the connection to the Toradex image server.

Remember, the key is to ensure that the device can communicate with the Toradex servers without any restrictions from the network side.

Dear @brownb,

I have tried reaching the URL without any trouble. Please make sure to check your network setup. I suspect there might be an issue there.

Best regards

Hello, finally I managed to exclude the target site from the URL filtering rule on the company firewall, this resolved the issue.
