Systemd failed enable service

Hi I’m trying to run a script everytime the system reboot, currently I’ve tried to create a script inside /etc/init.d folder but it does not seems to be invoked. Then I tried to create a service inside /etc/systemd/system folder but when I try to enable it, it throws the following error:

Synchronizing state of boot.service with SysV service script with /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install.
Executing: /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install enable boot
Failed to execute /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install: No such file or directory

toradex: apalis-imx8 - ixora
distro: torizoncore

Greetings @raccoman,

I have some initial questions. First of all what version of TorizonCore are you running here?

Also what were your exacts steps to add and enable this new systemd service?

Best Regards,
Jeremias
