$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 command not found

Hi,

I am on step 1 of “Compiling examples from command line”
I tried to execute the
$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

but it can not find the command.
Running the command from root and dpkg is not installed. Using the recovery I installed the system again and the issue wasn’t resolved.

Would you please advise on how to resolve the issue?
