SSH error: Connection closed by remote host port 22

Has anyone gotten the error with SSH when you try to login: “Connection closed by remote host Port 22” and if so, how did you fix it? Looking on the web, I see this error from other Linux users, but I did not find a fix.

Could you please provide more details?

  • What carrier board do you have?

  • which BSP version you are using?

  • How exactly you are truing to login with SSH?

Thanks for the reply. I have the Viola 1.2A. Not sure what you mean by BSP. I login with my Mac:
SSH root@192.168.1.6

I get the same error with Putty on a Windows XP box.
