RTC accuracy on ixora

Hi,

We had some problem with the accuracy of RTC in our Ixora carrier board.
We set the date yesterday at 13:15:00, and today at 7:40:00 the result of date command is 7:40:03, so in less than 24 hours we lost about 3 seconds.

Yesterday i set the date using date 110313152020 and then hwclock -w.

For the moment we used an external power supply at 3.3V (with an amperometer to check the current absorption) instead of the battery.

What should be the problem of this inaccuracy?
