Reset problem after kernel panic

Hello,

I am working on a project, which supports fall back behavior. When first system can not start other fallback system will start.

One of my scenario is kernel panic. When kernel panic occurs i will restart the system and switched to other one.

System hangs at this point.

For that, i added panic=3 to uEnv.txt this sends to kernel timeout value, when kernel panic occurs kernel will reboot the sytem in 3 seconds. But when kernel panic occurs systen can not reboot. How can i fix this issue?

What exact hardware (module and carrier board) and software versions of things are you talking about?

I am using Toradex Yocto project.

I need asolution.

Please note that Bsp 4.0 is not supported any more.
Could you please update to the Bsp 5.0.0+build.3 reference image and check if the issue is present there?

I discussed this topic with our customer. They will use Bsp 5.0.0, But we need a certain information, should we try it then we will get the information?
Because it will effect our plans and there is no time to try something in our busy schedule.
