Request for Provision to Flash Containerized Application via SSH Without Recovery Mode

Dear Toradex Support Team,

We are currently working with Toradex SoMs and using containerized applications for deployment. As per the current procedure for flashing or updating the system requires entering recovery mode, which involves manually pressing the recovery button and using a USB drive or SD card.

However, this approach becomes challenging in field deployments where physical access to open the unit is limited or not feasible. Therefore, we would like to know if Toradex provides (or can provide) a provision to flash or update the containerized application via SSH or any other mode, without the need to open the unit.

If there is any existing method or recommended approach for achieving this, we would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to your response.

Hi @Saikrishna

Well… we have our OTA remote updates solution,
which is better than SSH-ing into devices in the field for a few reasons.

You can read a detailed review about this solution in these pages.
