Question about wi-fi module

Colibri iMX6ULL 1GB IT

I would like to make a caston carrier board for use with Colibri iMX6ULL 1GB IT.
We plan to add a wifi module to this custom carrier board and develop related applications.

Question

  1. Is the configuration above possible?
  2. If so, which SODIMM pin is used to configure it circuitically?
  3. Is there a Wi-Fi module that can be used without modification to the yocto kernel?

  1. Of course. Everything is possible with enough time and money…
  2. Are you using the SD card interface? The limitation we had (and the reason why there is no Colibri iMX6ULL 1GB WB IT) is that since we are using an eMMC that uses an SDIO, we “lost” the SDIO we were using for the WB module. For more details, pls check the Colibri iMX6ULL datasheet (5.13 SD/MMC)
  3. Anything that uses mwifiex driver should work out of the box. Our WB module uses NXP 88W8997, but you can probably use other similar chipsets from NXP.
