I followed these instructions: Configuring Serial Port Debug Console (Linux/U-Boot) | Toradex Developer Center, to see uboot on putty.
I’m using this USB to RSR232 adaptor: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B075YGKFC1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
I checked my baud rates for PUTTY and in the driver for that adaptor and they are set to 115200 8 bits, no flow control, no parity bit, and 1 stop bit.
The cable is connected to the iris carrier board x13, and then to my USB port of my computer. I load PUTTY and make sure my settings are correct then launch the terminal. I then power on the iris carrier board and nothing happens on the putty terminal and I get a black screen on my monitor that’s connected to the DVI port of the carrier board.
I’m thinking that it’s interrupted the boot process which is fine, but nothing shows up on the PUTTY terminal.
