Part number of the MHF4 connector on Colibri iMX6ULL modules

Hi all,

As we’re using a PCB antenna on our custom carrier board we need a small coax cable to connect to the wifi module. We’re currently using Amphenol RF U-1PU-113-035B2 35mm cables, and on our carrier board we are using Amphenol RF A-4JA sockets.

The strangest thing is we seem to be having issues with the cable coming loose from the carrier board. The connector used on the AzureWave module has a much better fit. I’ve looked around what I can find on the public internet but nothing seems to mention the part number of the connector used (the datasheet I found doesn’t even mentioned MHF4). Can Toradex ask AzureWave which connector they use (since I assume you have a decent volume with them), or do you have any other recommendations for part numbers?

Hello @wisse-cp,

we are looking into it.
Please be aware that when you use a PCB antenna you will have to do more testing in the certification process than using the precertified antennas and cables which have been tested with the azure radio.
Also, you most likely need an impedance-matching network on the PCB.
