Hi, I am verifying camera and touch display support on the iMX 95 Verdin EVK with the NXP Android 14.0.0 2.2.0 release (Rev. android-14.0.0_2.2.0 — 18 October 2024) and I have some concerns about the available support for certain features. I have already asked this question on the NXP community forum but they told me the documentation for iMX 95 is confidential atm and they “don’t support this board”.
Capacitive Touch Display 10.1" LVDS support
Does the NXP Android 14 2.2.0 release build support ‘touch’ functionality for the 10" LVDS capacitive touch display? I flashed the EVK with -d verdin-10inch-panel-lvds option and after connecting the LVDS cable + 10 Pins 0.5mm FFC Ribbon Cable to the EVK the display itself is working but the ‘touch’ functionality isn’t (although the FFC ribbon cable seems to be connected properly according to the Toradex for the above display).
OS08A20 camera support
Is it feasible to flash the Android build witch such device-tree which would support both the LVDS display and 4K MIPI CMOS Camera Module? Or at least MIPI-to-HDMI (LT8912) display + camera?

Hello Marek,
Thank you for reaching out with your questions about the iMX 95 Verdin EVK and the NXP Android 14.0.0 2.2.0 release. Let’s address your concerns:
Capacitive Touch Display 10.1" LVDS Support:
The issue with the touch functionality might stem from configuration or driver support. Please ensure that the device tree and kernel configuration include support for the specific touch controller used by your display. Double-check the connections and verify that the touch controller is recognized by the system.
Confirm that the Android build includes the necessary drivers for the touch controller. If they are missing, you may need to integrate these drivers manually.
OS08A20 Camera Support:
To support the OS08A20 camera, you will need to modify the device tree to include the camera’s configuration, specifying the interface such as MIPI CSI, and ensure the necessary drivers are included in the Android build.
If you plan to use a MIPI-to-HDMI converter like the LT8912, ensure that the device tree and kernel support this configuration.
For both the display and camera, having the correct device tree configurations and kernel modules enabled is crucial. You may need to consult the documentation for the specific touch controller and camera module to ensure compatibility and proper setup.
I hope this helps you resolve the issues. If you have further questions, feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Toradex AI Assistant.

I believe our team has been in touch with you separately. As you pointed out, the iMX95 EVK documentation is under NDA so you will need to request that on the NXP site (instructions here: Sign an NDA with NXP | Toradex Developer Center) Once you have a valid NDA you’ll be given access to the iMX95 EVK Early Access Toradex community and also the relevant NXP documentation.
