Optimizing power consumption on Colibri i.MX6ULL / Viola

Dear Toradex team, dear community,

we are developing an application for the Colibri i.MX6ULL 512 MB on the Viola carrier board. We are using Colibri-iMX6ULL_Console-Image_3.0 and the device tree imx6ull-colibri-wifi-eval-v3. The application is not computationally demanding and involves bluetooth communication and uses one USB port.

Would you have any recommendations about how to reduce the power consumption of the system, e.g., by underclocking CPU or RAM, disabling unnecessary components etc?

Did you check this page? With these steps, you should already be able to achieve a very low power consumption.
