No Inet-Adress for USB0

Hello,
I tried the “Getting Started”-Guide with my Apalis board. When I run the command
ifconfig

there ist no ipv4 adress for USB0.

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:14:2D:4F:65:4C
          UP BROADCAST MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 B)  TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)

lo        Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr:127.0.0.1  Mask:255.0.0.0
          inet6 addr: ::1%1/128 Scope:Host
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING  MTU:65536  Metric:1
          RX packets:2490 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:2490 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1
          RX bytes:179500 (175.2 KiB)  TX bytes:179500 (175.2 KiB)

usb0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:14:2D:FF:FF:FF
          inet6 addr: fe80::214:2dff:feff:ffff%lo/64 Scope:Link
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:139 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:51 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:25113 (24.5 KiB)  TX bytes:13722 (13.4 KiB)

When I try to set a static ip and run the savecopy from host, i only recognize that host is working, but nothing is printed out on console. What can I do?

Hi @Michael_I

Did you make a connection between your Host and the RNDIS Port (Connector X50 on Apalis Evaluation Board or X9 on Ixora Carrier Board) of the Module? If not, then it is normal, that there is no IP address for the interface usb0.

Best regards, Jaski
