Maximum micro SD card size

Hello,

I am using Colibri iMX7D and iMX8X SoM with the Viola carrier board.

Until now I only used 32 GB sd cards (microSDHC). Can you please tell me if the Board (and processors) also support higher capacities like 64 GB (microSDXC)? Is there a limit for the maximum size?

Unfortunately I didn´t find a definitive answer in the docs…

Both Colibri iMX7 datasheet and Colibri iMX8X have a statement - Supports addressing larger capacity SD 3.0 or SD-XC cards up to 2 TByte

SD card socket is the same for SHDC and SDXC cards, so Viola will work with SDXC card if inserted Colibri module supports them.
