There is only 4GB as storage in Windows 10 IoT starter kit of Toradex. It is an error in the capacity shortage and to place the UWP. Connect the USB, Why is not there a way to use this as a storage? Also SD slot but comes with, or would not be able to recognize the MicroSD as storage? Provide thank you for information.

The external SD Card is not supported at the moment, we will add this feature in near future.
The USB Memory thumb drive should work does work.

In the first image V0.0.1 the data Partition mounted to c:\data only left about 340MB for user applications. We will change this to several GB in next image which should be available within this week. For a workaround see this question.
