Installing Linux image from usb

hi
i am trying to install “Colibri-iMX6_LXDE-Image_2.8b6.184-20190401.tar.bz2” image from USB
i am using ubuntu version 20 in virtual box
when i try to untar image file as sodu, ubuntu says me “Operation not permitted” and when the operation completed easy installer do not recognize image on USB and shows anything
how should i do to install version 2.8b6 linux file in my imx6??

You tried to untar the legacy image but for the Toradex Easy Installer you would need the image with Tezi in its name which BTW would not need to be extracted as root.

BTW: There are now also BSP LTS versions 2.8.7 as well as 3.0.4 available.
