Innodb engine not available in mariadb

Dear All,

I have installed mariadb server with command: opkg install mariadb, but there is no innodb and XtraDB engine available:

show engines;

Is there any way to add support for innodb or xtradb engine, or how can I add recipe for mariadb 10 with engines support mentioned before.

there is an ignore-builtin-innodb in my.cnf set. After commenting this line innodb works well

Thanks for the feedback. Is XtraDB working too? Unfortunately I could not find any Solution for this.

Hi @jaski.tx,

Didn’t check xtradb but I’m happy with innodb (they are similar). I can only see innodb, on engines list:

InnoDB | DEFAULT | Percona-XtraDB, Supports transactions, row-level locking, and foreign keys | YES | YES | YES

But what I’m worried about, that there is maria db version 5.5 which end up support around 2020. Is there any possibility for the newer version in the nearest future?

So far not even OpenEmbedded master integrates any more recent version.
