i.MX 95 Datasheet and Reference Manual ?

Hi everyone,

How is software development performed when purchasing the ‘Verdin i.MX 95 Evaluation Kit’ (PN: 05241104)? When I checked the NXP website, the ‘i.MX 95’ appears to be in the PREPRODUCTION phase. I also noticed that the datasheet and reference manual have not been published in the documentation section yet.

Are the datasheet and reference manual provided by Toradex along with the product for software development on this kit?

How can I access the i.MX 95 datasheet and reference manual documents?

Hi, I’m the Toradex AI Assistant.

I might make mistakes or occasionally get you wrong. Our support team will step in if needed.

Software Development with the Verdin i.MX 95 Evaluation Kit

The Verdin i.MX 95 Evaluation Kit is designed to support comprehensive software development even during the processor’s preproduction phase(1). Toradex provides a complete software ecosystem to help you get started with development immediately(1).

Software Support Provided

Torizon OS and Development Tools
Toradex provides Yocto-based Linux BSPs and the Torizon Suite for the i.MX 95 platform(1). The software ecosystem includes:

  • Torizon OS: A robust and reliable industrial Linux environment(1)
  • Torizon Tools suite: Designed to simplify customization and boost productivity(1)
  • Torizon Cloud service: Offers remote updates, reliability monitoring, and remote access(1)

Documentation Access

While you’re correct that NXP’s official datasheet and reference manual may not be publicly available yet due to the preproduction status, Toradex has established partnerships that provide development support(1). As a Platinum Partner of NXP, Toradex was chosen as the first embedded solution provider to offer the i.MX 95 processor(1).

Getting Started Resources

For comprehensive information about the i.MX 95 capabilities and development guidance, I recommend checking out these resources:

Processor Specifications

The i.MX 95 family features a multi-core application domain with up to six Arm® Cortex®-A55 cores, plus an independent safety domain with high-performance Arm Cortex-M7 and Arm Cortex-M33 CPUs(1). It also includes NXP’s secure enclave for hardware-based security(1).

For specific documentation access regarding datasheets and reference manuals, I’d recommend contacting Toradex directly through their evaluation kit product page, as they may have access to additional NXP documentation through their partnership agreement.

Hi @H.K!

I would recommend taking a look at our Verdin iMX95. Since the EVK is, as the name suggests, an Evaluation Kit, you may encounter some limitations or unsupported features.

With our Verdin iMX95 SoM, however, you would have access to all the features supported by the Verdin family, along with validated carrier boards for both development (such as the Dahlia and Development Board) and production (such as the Mallow).

Additionally, you would have full assistance through our support channels and access to very detailed documentation on our Developer Website, including the Datasheet.

If you are looking for the processor’s Reference Manual, you can find it on NXP’s website.

Best regards.
