Hissing/static noise coming from the Apalis module after heatsink installation

I installed the apalis imx8 module with heat sink on evaluation board, there is some strange noise coming from the module. I am in OS installation process and the sound is still going on.

There was a small glue type substance(I assume it is some kind of thermal dissipator) on the heat sink, I removed the plastic from that but do I have to remove that as well? the module doesnt seem to be too hot at the moment.

Yes you are right! This is a thermal dissipator aka. thermal pad and should not be removed. The temperature of the module is dependend of the workload.
