Flashing without recovery mode

Hello.
At the moment, the only way I can update my image is with:
→ putting my board in recovery mode
→ load toradex easy installer
→ install image
I want to be able to do this in a more “automatic” way.
I know there’s OTA, but I dont want to dive in that already.

Is there an easier approach for re-flashing a Colibri board (imx6dl or imx8x)?
I saw there is TFTP boot etc, but will this allow me to reflash the board?

If you have a properly functioning U-Boot and access to its terminal, you can launch the Toradex Easy Installer from an SD card or USB stick. If you have the wrong version or a broken U-Boot, the only available method (aside from OTA) is the one you’ve already described above.
