Digital Audio with AC97 on Apalis iMX6

Is use of the AC97 Codec as described in section 5.15 of the Apalis iMX6 datasheet (https://docs.toradex.com/101770-apalis-imx6-datasheet.pdf) supported in the Linux BSP?

If not, are there any examples (device tree etc…) or further guidance for using it?

Thanks.

Hi @justin.mcdowell

The Ac97 codec is supported in Linux. Usually Toradex digital Audio Interface as I2S. For Ac97, you can find an example for the device tree here and further here. Concerning the AUD pins, you need to use AUD5 instead of AUD6, since not all AUD6 pins are populated on the SODIMM connector.
