Cloning a linux installation on a colibri module?

Hello,

I have two colibri modules, one with a linux installation that was not setup by me and a recently bought colibri module with a windows embedded installation.
Since we also bought an evaluation board, my question now is, whether is it somehow possible to clone the linux installation onto the new colibri board?
On a linux PC I would use dd, but here I can only insert one module into the eval board. Can I create an image from the linux installation and restore it on the other module?

While we do not recommend doing it this way one could probably adopt something along those lines as previously discussed here or here.
