Bluetooth SIG Declaration

Greetings,

Does Toradex have any guidance when it comes to Bluetooth SIG declarations?

We’re using Bluetooth between the iMX6ULL and a mobile app to exchange some info and then move to a WiFi connection.

Do we still need to pay the declaration fee to the Bluetooth SIG or is this already handled by Toradex/Azurewave? As it’s not really relevant to the user how the system works, we’re don’t need to use any Bluetooth trademarks either.

Hello wisse-cp,

For all commercially products that are using BT Tech, the BT SIG requires that these products are listed on the Bluetooth SIG End Product Listing also know as EPL.

The Bluetooth chips and software stack also need to be certified but this is done already with the module we are using.

Yes and it costs money. may last information was that to be listed ist 2500-8000 $

I will check if there are any exceptions

Are you able to provide the details - this is basically what I’m asking in this question:

Hello Gman,

I am checking back with the product management to get the information on the QDID
