I’m using an Apalis iMX8QM module with an Ixora V1.3A carrier board. I am using tdx-reference-multimedia-image. Currently, when I power on the system, I have to manually press the ON/OFF button (SW1) on the Ixora board to start the boot process.
I would like the system to automatically power on and boot as soon as power is applied, without needing to press the ON/OFF button.
Please advise what hardware jumper setting or software configuration is needed to enable this behavior?

Hello! Thank you for your question.
To automatically power on your Ixora V1.3A carrier board with the Apalis iMX8QM as soon as power is applied, you need to use the Always On Jumper (JP1):
Steps:
- Locate JP1 on your Ixora V1.3A carrier board. (Refer to the board schematic or silkscreen for its exact position.)
- Close (short) the JP1 jumper.
When JP1 is shorted, the carrier board enters “Always On” mode. After applying power, the system will start automatically and you won’t need to press the ON/OFF button (SW1).
Alternate Method:
If you prefer not to use the jumper, you could also set the PWR_CTRL signal (pin 3 of Power Control Header X5) to 3.3V, but using the JP1 jumper is more straightforward for most applications.
No software configuration is necessary for this feature—just set the hardware jumper.
