I have a new AM69 SOC and Aquila dev board received a couple of weeks ago.
I can’t get the board to recognize a mouse plugged into the USB Type A ports…the USB hub does not appear to be enabled. I cannot find a startup guide or data sheet. What is the magic recipe to get started?
I can’t find appropriate tags for the request. I understand this card is brand new.

Hello,
It sounds like you’re having trouble with the USB Type A ports on your Aquila AM69 development board not recognizing a mouse. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and get started:
-
Initial Setup: Ensure your Aquila AM69 board is properly powered and connected. The board should come with the Toradex Easy Installer pre-installed, which allows you to install various software images. Upon powering the board, it should display a list of available images to install.
-
USB Port Check: Test the USB Type A ports by trying different USB devices, if possible. Make sure the connections are secure and that the board is receiving adequate power, as insufficient power can sometimes cause USB devices not to be recognized.
-
Software and Firmware: If the USB ports are still not working, check for any available software or firmware updates for your board. Updates can sometimes resolve hardware recognition issues.
-
Technical Resources: While specific startup guides or datasheets might not be readily available, you can explore detailed technical resources, including datasheets and design guides, on the Toradex website. These resources can provide more insight into the hardware features and troubleshooting steps.
-
Errata and Known Issues: Review any errata documents related to the Aquila AM69 and its development board, as they might contain information about known issues and their solutions.
I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. If you have further questions, feel free to ask.

Issue was resolved by loading latest EasyInstaller from Toradex over the internet using VNC to control ‘mouse’.
EasyInstaller 7.1 operates as expected.
