I have attempted to use both of the recovery Easy Installers listed below and have been unsuccessful with them.
apalis-imx8x_toradexeasyinstaller_2.0b4-20191231
apalis-imx8x_toradexeasyinstaller_2.0b5-20200519
The following error occurs with either Easy Installer.
"Downloading Toradex Easy Installer…

Bump -
I’m running Ubuntu 18.04 on an XPS13 laptop. The IMX6 version of the Toradex Easy Installer has been working for us for years.
Using an IMX8X v1.0D SOM with it’s stock software right out of the box, using Tezy 2.0b4 and Texy 2.0b6 gives me the same “HID(W):LIBUSB_ERROR_IO” error every time. When I attempt to recover from Windows via 2.0b6 it works every time. I guess just use Windows for now…
Hi @AndyGikling,
Can you confirm if you need to execute the Recovery Utility as admin/root?
Best regards,
André Curvello
Not sure. I’ll check when I’m back in the office early 2021.
Hi @AndyGikling
