Apalis Evaluation Board & SOM iMX8QM interface to CSI Camera

( Ticket #30911)

I have the Apalis development board (rev 1.1) plus Apalis SOM iMX8QM and am trying to interface to a FRAMOS optical Sensor FSM:GO IMX686 via FPA-A/P24 kit (MIPI-CSI interface via flat cable).

Could anyone please confirm whether there is an interface board that would allow this setup to work OR whether I should just get a different development board/SOM (Verdin)?

Thanks for any information!
Clive

Hi @ces!

You said you’re using FMS:GO IMX686, but we only support FMS:GO IMX676. Besides that, the IMX676 is not compatible with Apalis, only with Verdin modules, as you can see here.

So you would need a Verdin module with a carrier board (Development board, Dahlia, or Mallow).

Please refer to First Steps with FSM:GO CSI Optical Sensor Modules (Linux) | Toradex Developer Center to learn more about FRAMOS FMS:GO IMX676 camera.

Best regards.

Hi Lucas, thanks for the quick response - I’ll look into getting a Verdin + dev. board. (That was a typo in the original - I meant the FMS:GO IMX676.)
Best regards, Clive

Hi @ces!

The FMS:GO IMX676 is currently compatible only with Verdin iMX8MP, so be sure to get this model.

Can I mark my last answer as a solution?

Best regards.

Absolutely!
Thanks,
