After updating from Colibri T20 BSP ver 1.2 to ver 2.4, the MAC address is no longer in the Registry

Using UpdateTool 6.0.19 (2.0.18)

The registry location was HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AX88772B1\Parms. I suppose the updater doesn’t copy that over?
I know that, in general, the update process clears the registry, but I thought things like the MAC address were then restored.
I can save and then import those keys, no problem. However, I’m wondering if I should be on the lookout for other things that the updater should restore, but doesn’t (perhaps due to how many update packages that are between 1.2 and 2.4?)

Thanks!

By default, the MAC address is derived from the module’s serial number. Therefore, it’s better not to store it in the registry to prevent duplicate MAC addresses during production programming. You can export the new and old registry into a text files using the Registry Editor, and then compare versions using Beyond Compare’s registry compare mode or a similar tool.
