Thank you for the logs, I’ll look into it from my side and see if I can find any insight.
Also that is unfortunate about the overlay. Though this brings another thought to mind. What if we for now forget about overlays and just make the changes to the device tree directly. This would serve the purpose of eliminating any possible issue connected with device tree overlays.

If you have a chance to try that let me know if it affects the behavior of the errors in anyway. When I tried this on my end the only error that popped up on boot was about the silead_ts which is expected since I don’t have this touch controller.
This makes me thing it might be the case that the overlay is not appending in the way we would think.
