Wifi/BLE Antenna for Verdin modules

Hi,
Are both antennas required for proper operation of Wifi/BLE module on Verdin WB SOMs with Azurewave module? Can we use only one antenna if, for example, only operation of one MIMO wifi stream is acceptable for the application, or if only BLE is used? If operation with one antenna is possible, what are practical consequences of this setup?
