I wanted to ask if you could provide us the following information:
Can we source this display (marked in red) somewhere?
What interface(s) does it use?
Does it have touch functionality?
Is it possible to get the neccessary overlays and/or configurations from Toradex?
We would like to use a screen like this (wide screen, bright, > 10 inches, optionally with touch) with our Apalis iMX8 QuadMax 8GB on the Ixora Carrier Board V1.3A via LVDS.
Would that be an option?
Do you know of alternatives that might be worth looking into?
Looking forward to hearing from you, Tradex support team.

Hello!
Thank you for reaching out with your question about display compatibility for your Apalis iMX8 QuadMax and Ixora carrier board setup. Here are some details that might help you:
The Apalis iMX8 QuadMax supports several display interfaces, including:
Up to 3x single channel LVDS displays
Standard configuration for 2x single channel 85 Mpixel/s or 1x dual channel 170 Mpixel/s
HDMI 2.0a with 4K (3840x2160@60Hz) support
The Ixora carrier board offers:
Dual Channel 24-bit LVDS
HDMI
18-bit digital RGB
While I can’t comment on the specific display shown in your image, Toradex does offer a Capacitive Touch Display 10.1" LVDS with the following features:
1280x800px resolution
LVDS 8-bit interface
Touch Interface via I2C
Ready-to-use device tree overlays for Linux BSP and Torizon OS
For exploring alternative display options, you might consider:
Reviewing Toradex’s display compatibility documentation available online.
Evaluating the available display interfaces on your hardware to ensure compatibility with your chosen display.
If you need more specific technical details about implementing any of these display options, feel free to ask!
Best regards,
Toradex AI Assistant.
Please, also check if these links can help you solve your problem:
We have done some research and found the following link, which shows the demo and what it entails. I was told that it is an LVDS display without touch. The details were published on a Qt blog in the past, yet the post no longer seems to be available. Should you be interested in a screen like this then we might be able to provide you one of our partners. Please let us know if this is the case.
Even without touch capabilities, the display would be a viable option for our project.
So it would be great if you could provide us further information.
Further, it would be great if Toradex would be able to provide necessary overlays to get the display running with our Toradex hardware.
After digging around we found out that it was KOE 1280x480, something similar to this:
I was told that a dedicated LVDS cable was built for the demo. Regarding the overlay of this display I was unable to find anything unfortunately. If you acquire the datasheet of the display you will use however you can use the values given within for the overlay.
