When I login as a non-root user I get an error: Cannot create directory /run/user/1000 Permission denied

Hi @nmohan86,

Thanks for sharing the solution!

Please, let me know if you need anything more.

When referencing the recipes-core/base-files, which parent directory is this found in?

And, what file in the base-files directory is being modified?

Currently there exists a base-files_3.0.14.bb in my environment, but there is no use of chmod nor mkdir in that file.

Hi @jj_inno ,

Welcome to our community!

Can you please create a new question about your issue? Also, please provide more information about your setup, what you are currently doing, and what you want to achieve.

Best regards,
Daniel Morais

Hello Daniel, and thank you!

You mean you want me to start a thread specific to why that OP didn’t supply for useful information to the answer of their own question?

Hi @jj_inno ,

Answering your questions:

A: The file is placed on the meta-toradex-demos layer, the directory is meta-toradex-demos/recipes-core/base-files/base-files/wayland-env.sh.

The file is wayland-env.sh as mentioned by @nmohan86 .

I’m sorry about that, if you are trying to accomplish the same goal as the initial question here, you are correct. If you face some different issues or have another goal, I advise you to create a new post question and then give more information.

Best regards,
Daniel Morais
