What is the password to login

I use Toradex Evaluation board for Colibri IMX7.
After bootup, what is the password to login?

Hi

User ‘root’ with a blank password.

Our linux demo images are built with ‘debug-tweaks’ in IMAGE_FEATURES.

This results in a user root with an empty password. So you login as user root and will not be prompted for a password.

Hello,

Did you change the default login ? I just did a clean install of the last BSP image on IMX7 and cannot login with root password:

The Angstrom Distribution colibri-imx7 ttymxc0

Angstrom v2016.12 - Kernel 4.1.39-2.7.2+gba2f75f

Colibri-iMX7_LXDE-Image 2.7.2 20170410

colibri-imx7 login: root

Login incorrect
colibri-imx7 login:

No, it still remains the same with blank password. Can you again untar the Linux image and try flashing again and check.

Thank you, it is working know. I tried 2 times yesterday … the third is the good one. Very strange. I had to upgrade with an intermediate version to use the last one.

The board is the one provided to my collegue at the Yocto training:

Model: Toradex Colibri iMX7 Solo 256MB V1.1A, Serial# 02794246

WARNING: This module uses an early tapeout/stepping of the i.MX 7 SoC which suffers a NAND flash issue requiring a software workaround. This U-Boot version still implements this workaround, but future U-Boot versions provided by Toradex will not use the workaround anymore. You must use a newer Colibri iMX7 (V1.1B or la ter) to use future software versions. For evaluation and testing purposes it will be possible to keep the current U-Boot and only update the kernel and root filesystem.

U-boot cannot be updated, and the procedure seems specific:

NOTE: The U-Boot provided with this BSP version does not support the
early tapeout/stepping of i.MX 7 used on your module. You still can
update the kernel/device-tree/rootfs manually using:
# run prepare_ubi && run update_kernel && run update_fdt && run update_rootfs

Anyway, it is working now, thank you! I will order a new one to be able to use the latest u-boot
