Watchdog reboots whilst in suspend

We’re having an issue with putting out system (IMX7) in to suspend state.
We use the following:

echo 0 > wakealarm && echo +35 > wakealarm && systemctl suspend

This sends our system in to suspend state, however since we’ve updgraded to BSP 6.5 we find that our system is rebooted after 32 second after entering the suspend state. We tracked this down to the rn5t618-wdt pmic watchdog. Out code has work find using BPS 5.7.0 Build. We are struggling to find out how we can disable this watchdog.

Hello @DuncanNapier,

I tested this here with a Colibri iMX7D 512MB V1.1C running the Reference Minimal Image 6.5.0 and 6.6.0, and with both images the system wakes up from suspension normally after running the commands you sent.

Have you seen this behavior on the Reference Minimal Image 6.6.0 as well?
What version of the Colibri iMX7 are you using?

Best Regards,
Bruno

Hi Bruno,

Thanks for your help.
We are (and as of today, were) actually developing on Torizon 6.5.0, not the Reference Minimal Image - sorry for the confusion.

Drew Moseley has helped to confirm the issue exists on 6.3.x but not on 6.6.1+build.14. We will shift to this version for our purposes.

Best regards,
Lloyd
