Hi, I’m the Toradex AI Assistant.
I might make mistakes or occasionally get you wrong. Our support team will step in if needed.
I understand you’re experiencing display issues with your Verdin module after entering recovery mode. To help you properly, could you provide some additional details about your setup?
Hardware Information Needed
Could you run the tdx-info command on your device to get the specific hardware details? This will help identify your exact configuration. You can find more information about this command at: https://developer.toradex.com/software/development-resources/tdx-info/
Specifically, I need to know:
- SoM: Which exact Verdin module (Verdin i.MX8M Plus, Verdin AM62, etc.)
- Carrier board: Which carrier board are you using (Mallow Carrier Board, Development Board, etc.)
- OS version: What version were you running before and what are you trying to install
Common Display Troubleshooting
While we determine your exact setup, here are some immediate steps to try:
HDMI Connection Check
- Ensure the HDMI cable is connected to the carrier board before powering it on, as HDMI hotplug is not supported (1)
- Try a different HDMI cable or port to rule out connection issues (2)
- Verify your monitor is set to the correct HDMI input (1)
Alternative Access Methods
- Serial Console: Try accessing via UART1/UART_A for debugging information (2)
- VNC Connection: If the network is configured, you might be able to access the Easy Installer GUI remotely (2)
Recovery Mode Considerations
- Some users have reported that UART connections can affect display stability during recovery mode (2)
- If you have a UART cable connected, try disconnecting it and rebooting (2)
Once you provide your specific hardware configuration, I can give you more targeted troubleshooting steps for your exact setup.

Hi @Adityag!
Which display are you using? Besides that, do you know if an overlay was applied? If so, you can re-enable it following this guide for BSP, and this for Torizon.
Best regards.
