Thanks for the support, for some feedback:

I am thinking to turn the Toradex into a hotspot. Currently the work around is to use TorizonCore 5.6.x, “unmanage” the “uap0” from the NetworkManager, then bring up a “hostapd” in the TorizonCore for the hotspot only.

For the image version: the “uap0” has some other issue in both 5.7.x and 6.0.x, please check the following thread. Logically it will be nice to fix both of them in the 6.0.x future release, so the wireless hotspot can really work.

Thanks Lucas. I agree currently “build from source with Yocto” is the only solution. However “TorizonCore does not have sdiouart8997_combo_v4.bin” is a little confusing, since the Toradex’s wifi document does not mention anything related: https://developer.toradex.com/torizon/how-to/networking-and-connectivity/networking-with-torizoncore/ Do we have a schedule to include the sdiouart8997_combo_v4.bin in a TorizonCore image ?
