Updating toradex linux image - colibri imx6DL

I am trying to install the newer toradex linux image on our touchscreen device that has a Colibri iMX6DL with an eDM-CB-Colibri baseboard developed by DATA MODUL. I initially tried using the Toradex easy installer but ran into some errors. So I followed this tutorial to flash the new toradex image. I went through the entire process but there were some errors regarding the rootfs. When it begins ‘reading colibri_imx6/root.ext3-101’, the last three digits keep incrementing and are unable to read once it hits 108. After that it will keep incrementing, showing that it is unable to read root.ext3-:

It looks as if the new kernel, version 2.7.3, was installed but I wanted to make sure there isn’t going to be a large issue with the file system. Is the file system in the new build of type ext4, while it is looking for ext3, and that’s why it’s getting these errors? I believe our previous image was some version of 2.4.

This is a known issue and was fixed with this commit in meta-toradex-demos layer. Image generated with OpenEmbedded with the above commit included from morty-next branch of meta-toradex-demos layer would not have this issue.

There shouldn’t be issue an issue with the file system.

We do migrate to ext4 with our next release but that is not the case here.
