Toradex Easy Installer USB ports know issue

Hi,

we’d like to use Toradex Easy Installer as automated volume production programming tool using a USB Drive.

However in Toradex Easy Installer release details there’s mention of known issue #41090 “USB Ports do not Work Sometimes” on Apalis TK1.
Description: USB ports at times do not work
Workaround: Power cycle the device

Can you provide additional details? Does this happen using a specific carrier or version of the SOM? Does this happen randomly or under specific conditions?

Unfortunately we do not have much insight on this issue. It was reported by one of the engineer team members, but we haven’t been able to reproduce it. It is related to downstream kernel 3.10, so as long as you are using a later version you should be safe.
