Speaker test failed on new TK1

I have a new TK1 connected to an Ixora board installed with “Apalis-TK1-Mainline_LXDE-Image 2.7.2 20170410”

When I run speaker test it fails with the following error message.

hw:0,0 - refers to HDMI

and to play through the default 3.5mm, I needed to use hw:1,0 to refer to the first device on the second card.
