SODIMM 81 and Colibri iMX6 boot process

Can someone clarify how SODIMM 81 is used at boot time for Torizon on Colibri iMX6D?

If the pin is left floating, will it prevent boot from the eMMC? The Aster carrier has a 100K pulldown to GND. Why? The schematic note says:

Note 3:
Compact Flash (CF) Card detect
PIN_81, pulled down to GND to diable CF
access.

What does that mean exactly? What is the process/description of how this pin is used at boot?

Pin 81 has nothing to so with boot process. This pin has no pulldown resistor on the Aster board. It used as a CIF_VSYNC signal there. Colibri iMX6 pin 81 can also be used as

EIM_DATA29 
IPU1_DI1_PIN15 
ECSPI4_SS0 
UART2_RTS_B 
GPIO3_IO29 
IPU1_DI0_PIN14 
EPDC_PWR_WAKE

That note about Compact Flash is left by mistake. The Aster board has no CF interface.
